Santa Margarida beach

 

Beach extended from Salatar to the mouth of the Santa Margarita residential marina. It's a long, broad beach, about 550 meters approximately, with a fine golden sand and clear water and shallow. It is a very frequented beach, the most part of people are foreigners, as many of them have their second home in the urbanization of Santa Margarita.

 

This area is an important tourist center, consisting mainly of a marina of more than 15 kms of navigable waterways and a large and varied cuisine, shopping, leisure and an intense nightlife. Adjacent to the beach are the promenade, there is a square with benches to overlook the Aiguamolls de l'Empordà Natural Park.

 

Since 2003 has the European EMAS environmental certification and the international ISO 14,001.
